Tiraspol, March 3. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Moldova's electric power providers resiled from the contract with Inter RAO including also the Moldovan hydroelectric power station in Dnestrovsk on political grounds, and the tender was held with critical violations. Economic Development Minister Sergey Obolonik told about it to the journalists and noted also that the Pridnestrovie's Government had developed a package of measures for stabilization of the energy industry in advance.
«There were negotiations on the contract between Inter RAO UES and the electric power providers from the Republic of Moldova. The contract wasn't signed. The event which was qualified as a tender actually wasn't such because it was held with critical violations," Obolonik declared.
According to the minister, the Moldovan side made these violations consciously in order to squeeze out the Russian electric power provider from the auction. The political grounds mentioned in the same breath as attempts to establish the Moldovan customs and boundary control on the Pridnestrovian-Ukrainian border can be observed in this fake tender.
«Such events accurately fit into the line of recent actions taken by Moldova in the context of Kuchurgan boundary and customs control establishment. It is an attempt to squeeze out the Russian investor and to bite the Russian Federation," Obolonik noted emphasizing that it had been the next act of pressure upon the Pridnestrovie's economy.
At the same time, the Government was ready for such situation, Obolonik says, and the package of measures for stabilization of the situation in the economy and the power industry was prepared in advance.
«The Pridnestrovie's Government handles the situation. The package of measures for energy market stabilization has been developed in advance. It was a preventive work even before the so-called tender," the Economic Development Minister noted.
