Tiraspol, March 4. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Rospotrebnadzor (Russian Federal Consumer Rights Protection and Human Health Control Service) permitted the Tiraspol Wine-and-Cognac Plant KVINT to introduce samples of new, previously not delivered to Russia production.

«Wine-making enterprises of KVINT — Fabrica de Vin si Cognac din Tiraspol and KAZAYAK-VIN SA which have a permission to export wine production to the Russian Federation — were permitted to introduce samples of new, previously not delivered production," it is told in the message by Rospotrebnadzor.

Also, it is noted that 5 Moldovan wine-making companies can get access to the Russian market.

«Following the examination of the records made by the Rospotrebnadzor experts during familiarization with activities of the relevant Moldovan authorities on the quality and safety issues of wine production, the following Moldovan wine-making enterprises: SA «CRICOVO», I.M. «Chateau Vartely», «CASTEL MIMI» S.R.L., IM «Lion-Gri» S.R.L., SC «MOLDIUGVIN” SRL were permitted to deliver samples for obtaining permissions to the certain types of products delivered to the Russian Federation," the authority reports.

Deliveries of wine production to the Russian Federation will be made in the same way as before that is in the mode of one window.

It is a reminder that, in February, the Rospotrebnadzor experts visited 13 Moldovan wine-making enterprises seeking to deliver their production to Russia.

Previously, the Russian President Vladimir Putin declared at the press conference following the results of negotiations with the president of RM Igor Dodon that a number of Moldovan enterprises having a permission to export products to the Russian market would probably increase.

Rospotrebnadzor imposed an embargo on the Moldovan wine production because of the wine quality complaints in September, 2013. The ban wasn't extended only to the alcoholic products from Gagauzia and Pridnestrovie. Before 2006, Moldavan wines occupied over 60% of the Russian market. Moldova had managed to restore only 10−12% of the Russian market share by 2013.

Relations between Moscow and Chisinau deteriorated in the summer of 2015 when the parliament of Moldova ratified the EU Association Agreement signed by the government in Brussels. According to the agreement, RM has to open the market for the European goods completely. Russia, being afraid that the goods from the EU will be re-exported to the market of the CIS and the Customs Union through Moldova, imposed a temporary ban on import of some types of the Moldovan production.
