Tiraspol, December 7. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The online magazine «Rabkor» published an article about a role of the peacekeeping operation on the Dniester and about interaction of Pridnestrovie and Russia in this issue.
The reporter of the Rabkor notes that improvement of interaction between Pridnestrovie and the Russian Federation in maintenance of smooth and effective functioning of the peacekeeping operation isn't just a response to real security threats from Ukraine. It is reminded that strengthening of contacts in this field began at the initiative of the Pridnestrovie's party in 2012 and highlighted aiming of the Pridnestrovie's leadership to fully support the peacekeeping mission being a republic security guarantee.
It is noted that by 2014, that is by the time when Kiev and Chisinau had taken a number of restrictive measures against the peacekeeping operation, the level of contacts between Tiraspol and Moscow in security issues had given an opportunity to jointly respond to new challenges in this field.
«Increased attention of the Pridnestrovie's leadership to the peacemaking issues is understood and supported in the Russian Federation as evidenced by the close cooperation of the Pridnestrovian and Russian armed forces in holding joint exercises and taking other measures. It is clear, that such processes are directly authorized by the top command of the defense ministries of two countries, and it shows real allied kind of relations between Pridnestrovie and Russia and full mutual understanding of the sides in fundamental issues concerning the maintenance of peace and security in all region," the author of the article writes.
The magazine emphasizes that interaction between Pridnestrovie and Russia in maintenance and intensification of the peacekeeping operation and in the field of security in general will continue to be improved for ensuring strategic interests of Pridnestrovie and the Russian Federation further.
