Tiraspol, August 10. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Pridnestrovie's Foreign Ministry reports that on August 3, 2016 the Pridnestrovian side initiated a meeting of expert (workers) groups on issues of railway transportation in Bendery on August 11. During the meeting, the Pridnestrovie's side offered to discuss the situation with fright delivery (including oil products) to Pridnestrovie.
As it was reported earlier, due to Ukraine's and Moldova's discriminative measures the opportunity of fuel import to Pridnestrovie through Slobodka and Kuchurgan border entry points is blocked today.
«The offers of the Pridnestrovie's side aimed at the situation settlement and being of feasible and applied kind have been on the negotiating table since February 26, 2016 and they were shown during the previous meeting once again which took place in Chisinau on July 21," the Foreign Affairs Ministry reminds.
Besides the meeting initiative, Pridnestrovie asked Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Cord Meier-Klodt to use his instruments of influence in order to promote the quest for a compromise. We will remind that within a meeting with the Prime Minister Pavel Prokudin the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, the Foreign Minister of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier promised to take a railway issue under personal control.
Nevertheless, the Foreign Ministry has received a missive of the representative on political affairs from the Republic of Moldova with refusal to meet due to the 'holiday season'. The Pridnestrovie's side considers such approach as disregard of the existing negotiation, political and diplomatic mechanisms of contradiction settlement and unwillingness of the Moldavan side to move in the constructive, mutually beneficial course.
Pridnestrovie urges the mediators and the observers of the 5+2 format to give an opinion on the Moldova's ignoring of negotiations in favor of unilateral, discrimination measures. Also, Pridnestrovie expects that nevertheless the Moldavan side will find an opportunity to direct the offers concerning date of a meeting in the nearest future.
