Tiraspol, 18 May. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The public communication department of the PRB has announce that Russia's central bank has drafted amendments to the Russian legislation increasing the sphere of the cooperation of JSC National System of Payment Cards (NSPC) with foreign payment systems.
This is due to the fact that the current version of the federal law «On national payment system», which regulates the operation of JSC NSPC, does not suggest the participation of non-resident banks in Russia's national payment system.
On 1 December 2014 the Cooperation Agreement was signed between the Pridnestrovian central bank and Russia's JSC NSPC, according to which the sides expressed interest «in the integration of the National Payment System of the PMR into the National System of Payment Cards of the RF by organising the interaction of the payment systems and organisation of information and information technology cooperation between the NPS of the PMR and JSC NSPC of the RF.»
In case these amendments are approved, the holders of bank cards issued by Russia's national payment system members will be able to be serviced in Pridnestrovie through the infrastructure of participants of the PMR's national payment system.
According to specialists of the Russian central bank, this autumn these amendments will be submitted to Russia's State Duma for consideration and approval.
