Tiraspol, 28 March. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The organisation «For unity with Russia» was established in Pridnestrovie on 15 March when a group of Pridnestrovian local people's deputies signed the corresponding declaration.

The union is open for both present and former people's deputies at all levels. Dnestrovsk local councillors have also joined the declaration.

«I believe we must do our best to promote the implementation of the results of the republican referendum, which took place on 17 September 2006. 97% of our countrymen gave their votes for our independence, for being together with Russia. I also think we must contribute to the Russian peacekeeping troops remaining in the Dniester region," said the chairwoman of Dnestrovsk's local council, Inna Fomina.

According to her, there is currently an initiative group of 11 people's deputies in the local council. «We will work out a plan for our further actions and start implement them in the nearest time," added Inna Fomina.

As was noted by Dnestrovsk local councillor Valery Ryaboy, public authorities and public organisations have done a lot for Pridnestrovie's international recognition since 2006. «People's deputies' union 'For unity with Russia' contributes to further work in this regard," he underscored, adding that in the nearest time the Denstrovsk local councillors who has signed the declaration will hold a meeting to work out a resolution whose principal provisions are supposed to be brought to the attention of the Russian leadership.

«Our aim is to preserve both historic and cultural values between Russian and Pridnestrovian citizens, resist any attempts to divert our country's foreign policy," noted Dnestrovsk local councillor Olga Moskalenko.
