Tiraspol, 26 February. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Today the Ministry of Justice has held a board meeting to sum up its performance in the last year.
Addressing the meeting, President Yevgeny Shevchuk highly appreciated the ministry's work in the period under consideration. «I'd like to express gratitude to the ministry's personnel for the work accomplished. I hope that the circumstances will change and we'll manage to fulfil the tasks before us. Many of the tasks may only be accomplished with due financial support. This is why the Ministry of Justice did its best under those circumstances," noted Yevgeny Shevchuk.
As the minister of justice, Olga Zvarych, noted in her report, the financing was hardly sufficient to pay salaries to the ministry's employees last year.
In the meantime, according to the president, it was also necessary to allocate funds for the creation of a common database encompassing all public authorities.
«Our weak point was the lack of opportunity to finance the implementation of a system which would integrate the databases of all ministries and agencies, thus simplifying procedures and saving time on performing these or that actions. The necessary amount had already been calculated, but it was not financed," said Yevgeny Shevchuk in his speech.
The head of state highlighted the need for public servants, including the ministry's employees, to constantly upgrade their professional skills.
