PRB deputy chair: we are ready to allocate 30 million roubles for small business development

Central bank spokesman Alexander Lyanka has noted that small business crediting is possible without currency pegs

Tiraspol, 11 February. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The central bank's readiness to allocate up to 30 million roubles for the development of small business was announced by the deputy chairman of the Pridnestrovian Republican Bank (PRB), Alexander Lyanka, during a meeting of the Council for Small Business Support and Development under the Government of the PMR.

During the discussion on proposals to improve the business environment council members, represented by businessmen and public officials, highlighted the fact that during a crisis it is common for developed states to inject financial assets into the country's economy. It was noted, at the same time, that a budget deficit of 1.2 billion roubles prevents the government from allocating direct subsidies to small business.

Meanwhile, the PRB deputy chair, Alexander Lyanka, supposed that state-run banks could provide financial assistance to small business.

«We are ready to discuss programmes with small business representatives and find the funds to support small business development," said Lyanka.

«Theoretically, we are ready to allocate up to 30 million roubles under low interest rates and without currency pegs, but against a sovereign guarantee," added the PRB spokesperson.

Alexander Lyanka called on businessmen to cooperate with the government to mutually settle the problems of small business.

«The country's salvation is the duty of business and the state," he believes.
