Tiraspol, 1 February. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. A «tax on losses» is to be abolished for light industry enterprises working with customer's materials. At the cabinet meeting, the minister of economic development, Alevtina Slinchenko, proposed to amend the law recently signed by the president.
As she clarified, light industry enterprises working with customer's raw materials are classified as service companies.
At the same time, according to a new edition of the law «On corporate tax», based on 2015 results, the «tax on losses» has been withdrawn for the industrial enterprises whose proceeds from the sale of produced goods are no less than 70%.
Alevtina Slinchenko proposed to amend the law with a norm providing for «the cost of rendered works performed and services provided in processing the customer's raw materials».
This measure aims to support enterprises in the negative economic environment and lower the tax burden for unprofitable enterprises. The law has been worked out on Yevgeny Shevchuk's initiative given that 131 enterprises were unprofitable in the first quarter of 2015 owing to weak external demand. This issue was discussed at the government meeting in December 2015 following which it was passed by the Supreme Council in two readings.
