Tiraspol, 17 December. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Reducing the tax burden for some categories of industrial enterprises was discussed today at a meeting of the government's praesidium. According to the acting finance minister, Yelena Girzhul, this applies to the businesses whose income from the sales of produced goods exceeds 70%.
«We propose that loss-making enterprises should be exempt from taxes in 2015. This refers to the so called 'tax on losses'. That is, if the organisation incurs losses, its tax base is calculated with regard for 5% profitability. We propose not to make additional recalculation following this year's results so that in 2016 such organisations will not pay this additional amount in case they have incurred losses," she noted.
According to Alevtina Slinchenko, this initiative was proposed following numerous requests form industrial enterprises, chiefly exporters.
«Following the results of 2014, a hundred of Pridnestrovian enterprises, 39 of which are industrial, were unprofitable. As of the first six months of 2015, 131 enterprises incurred losses. Among them are 40 industrial enterprises, 12 agricultural and 17 transportation enterprises. External factors affect the financial performance of our enterprises, and losses on exchange are the most serious problem. This is the issue which is beyond enterprises' control," she said.
To enforce the approved measures as soon as possible, the president will submit them to parliament in the mode of legislative necessity.
