Two participants of Pridnestrovian-Serbian international conference denied entry to Moldova

Pridnestrovie's MFA regards such actions by the Moldovan authorities as an acknowledgement of the fear and embarrassment of the Moldovan elite

Tiraspol, 26 November. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Following the deportation of research worker of the Russian Institute for Strategic Research (RISR) N.V. Bondarev on the night of 25−26 November 2015, two more participants of the Pridnestrovian-Serbian international conference were denied entry to Moldova at Kishinev airport, the MFA press service reports.

«In particular, research worker of Russia's Academy of Sciences Fasikh Baderkhan and representative of the Serbian Doors political party Zoran Radojičič could not come to the conference due to Moldova's restrictive measures," says the MFA's statement.

The MFA believes that «the ongoing attempts by Moldova to suppress scientific activities in Pridnestrovie are a clear demonstration of the fear and embarrassment of the Moldovan political elite and a symptom of degradation.

In this connection Pridnestrovie's foreign ministry will request within the next few days the participants of the 5+2 Talks and all 57 ambassadors to the OSCE to evaluate Moldova's restrictive approach.

The MFA regards the incident with the Russian researcher and Serbian citizen as an open and cynical demarche by Moldova against the Serbian Chairmanship in the OSCE, European democratic principles and standards.

«We hope this demonstrative attack by Moldova on the universal principles and foundations of the OSCE will be given a proper evaluation by the acting Chairmanship. The OSCE must confirm its support for democratic values and a persistent dialogue between the parties, especially in a situation when it directly affects the interests and freedom of movement of Serbian citizens," says the MFA press service.
