Tiraspol, November 22. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. This time, the topic of Forum was the Uniform day of voting which to take place on November 29. It's important to remind that Pridnestrovians would elect deputies to the Supreme and local councils and also chairmen to the rural councils — the heads of rural administrations.
The Attorney of PMR Alexander Deli reminded that there were 43 deputies in the Pridnestrovie's Supreme Council. «Including rural and settlement regional councils, a number of the republic's deputies is more than one thousand people. All this group of individuals has certain immunity," the attorney noted.
According to him, the issue concerning deputies' immunity was brought up repeatedly. The relevant legislative initiative concerning local deputies' immunity abolishment was prepared and submitted to the Supreme Council.
«Now, some candidates say that first of all they are to deal with an issue of concerning deputies' immunity abolishment. I think that, looking forward, it will be possible, but it is very difficult," Alexander Deli considers.
The attorney added, it was immunity which attracted a certain part of candidates for deputies, especially those ones of a local level.
«As a rule, the most part of deputies represents certain business structures, that is they have own enterprises, organizations, and when different issues arise, they take advantage of them. Put it that way, all Pridnestrovie's business earns on the budgetary contracts and the budgetary expenses. There is a race for implementation of the state programs. Our businessmen have begun to abuse their office in the Supreme Council over the last years. So, our legislation is riddled with privileges for certain structures, facilitations and other things which, in my view, exposed our economy to the risk, because provided privileges weren't taken into account," the Attorney of PMR told.
