Tiraspol, March, 29. / Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The United Nations platform is one of the most effective, and Pridnestrovie will use it for telling the right informing on the republic. President Vadim Krasnoselsky said it on the air of the First Pridnestrovian Channel.
Let's remind, on March 21 the Head of the Official Representation of the PMR in the Russian Federation Leonid Manakov participated in the 40th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva. In the report on statehood of Pridnestrovie, it was noted that our republic is the modern state fully observing the basic principles of human rights protection. The diplomat focused attention that Pridnestrovie unilaterally assumed liabilities on the observance of many international treaties, including the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, international covenants about civil and political, economic, social and cultural rights, the European Convention on human rights protection and fundamental freedoms, etc.
Leonid Manakov's visit and speech were noticed also by some European media, having noted that it occurs for the first time.

In a conversation with journalists, he emphasized that recognition of the state «cannot come like a bolt from the blue». In this difficult process, profile structures have to use all possible platforms, and the UN tribune is one of the most effective.
«It will allow us to tell truthful information about Pridnestrovie. We have to show that we are honest, open, that it is possible to deal with us in many aspects. Pridnestrovie is a part of international relations. Therefore the UN platform is interesting to us to show who we are, to break the false image of Pridnestrovie which still exists outside the Republic», – the Head of the state considers.
