Dubossary, 22 March. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The head of the government, Alexander Martynov, is on a working visit in Dubossary District today. The premier wants to know the problems of the local people.
The spacious hall of the district state administration hosted a meeting of the premier and his deputy on strategic development and reforms, Aleksey Tsurkan, with the inhabitants of the town and villages of the district. At the beginning of the meeting, Alexander Martynov presented the achievements of the new government made in the past two months.
«In early 2017 we had serious problems with the payment of salaries and pensions. There was a lack of funds in the republic to finance these important budget items. The government has taken a number of measures to cope with the situation, and our citizens have been able to fully benefit from all payments. We have eliminated all the schemes in the republic that had caused budget shortages," said Martynov.
According to him, for several years Russia's assistance has enabled the republic to cope with the difficult situation. And today a team of economic experts from Russia are expected to arrive in Pridnestrovie at the invitation of Pridnestrovian President Vadim Krasnoselsky. They will be involved in the development of business projects for our country.
«We are also looking forward to financial assistance for the implementation of these projects, namely, the development of our enterprises. Another area of cooperation with Russia is the advisory assistance of our colleagues in formulating our country's budget strategy. Now we are drafting the republican budget for the next three years. The president has set the task to remove all intermediaries so that the Pridnestrovian budget will not lose additional funds," said the premier.
He also underscored that reducing the share of the shadow market in the Pridnestrovain economy is another important aspect of the government's work. The Ministry of Economic Development has recently been tasked to reduce the tax burden and remove administrative barriers for bona fide economic agents. The government is ready to take such steps to enable entrepreneurs to «come out of the shadows» and successfully develop their businesses and fulfil their fiscal obligations in a timely manner.
Meeting participants were also able to address their questions to the premier.
