Tiraspol again called on Chisinau not to interfere with the transport of goods to the PMR

Pridnestrovie and Moldova held a meeting of expert groups on customs issues

Tiraspol, April 7. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. A meeting of expert (working) groups of the PMR and the Republic of Moldova on customs cooperation was held today at the Pridnestrovian side initiative.

The main topic of discussion was the detention of several goods belonging to Pridnestrovian enterprises in the Republic of Moldova. First of all, we are talking about medicines and plant protection products.

The expert groups discussed possible mechanisms for importing a wide range of vital goods to Pridnestrovie, as well as raw materials for key industrial enterprises. The PMR believes that the solution to all these problems can be the negotiation of a draft Protocol decision on the mutual transit of goods. The project was previously sent to the Moldovan side.

In addition, at the meeting, experts exchanged views on the economic activities of Pridnestrovian individual entrepreneurs. Because Ukraine has closed all checkpoints with Pridnestrovie, many entrepreneurs have lost their opportunity to import goods and work.

As stated in the message of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Pridnestrovian side called on Moldova not to create additional bureaucratic barriers and to put an end to the practice of unreasonably obstructing the transport of goods to Pridnestrovie for domestic consumption.
