Tiraspol, December 14. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. International observers from Nagorno-Karabakh Araik Lazaryan and Semen Afiyan visited 12 polling stations on the day of the PMR President's election. One of them was attended during the vote count. Today, independent observers sent a report on the monitoring results to the Central Election Commission, the press service of the PMR CEC reported.

“The election documents, samples of voting ballots, decisions of election commissions, minutes of meetings were readily accessible ... We did not find any restrictions on our rights as international observers,” the report says.

Araik Lazaryan and Semen Afiyan noted the benevolent atmosphere at the polling stations, which, in their opinion, contributed to the free expression of citizens` will.

“All the necessary conditions have been created for observing the secrecy of the vote. Voter turnout was high almost everywhere,” observers emphasize.

“The CEC has made an effort to keep these events professionally and credibly. The electoral administration should be commended for its efforts in difficult circumstances. We express our gratitude to the Central Election Commission of the PMR and the authorities of all levels for the cooperation and assistance provided during the work of the election observer mission,” the observers noted.

In conclusion of the report, independent observers recognize the past elections of the PMR President as free, transparent, and by international electoral standards.
