Tiraspol, December 11. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. At an extraordinary plenary session of the Supreme Council, PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky noted that the situation with gas is unclear, but it is necessary to be prepared for any scenario.
The head of state emphasized that not a single official has yet said convincingly whether there will be gas or not from the beginning of the next year. In fact, until the evening of December 31, the issue may be in limbo, the PMR President said. At the same time, in the absence of gas supply, it is necessary to provide heat to social institutions.
"There are more than 150 schools, about the same number of kindergartens, higher and secondary specialized educational institutions operating on the territory of our republic. We must organize and continue the educational process, preserve kindergartens. Correctional institutions - there are about 15 of them, where children are constantly provided by the state. We also need to think about how to preserve them, how to heat them,” the President noted.
They also discussed nursing homes, special institutions for people with disabilities, penitentiary institutions and medical institutions. There are 14 hospitals in the republic, not counting outpatient clinics and polyclinics.
“In Pridnestrovie, 97% of gasification is provided. This is, of course, good, but we depend on it. About 2/3 of the population lives in urban areas, in panel houses. If in the village you can somehow heat it, install a stove and so on, then in panel houses there will be problems with this. And we need to think about this too,” the head of state said.
Let us recall that a state of emergency in the economy has been introduced in Pridnestrovie for 30 days. The corresponding Decree was signed by the President of the PMR Vadim Krasnoselsky, and today the document was approved by the Supreme Council. The need to declare a special legal regime is due to the possible reduction or termination of natural gas supplies to Pridnestrovie from January 1, 2025. The decree provides for the rationalization of natural gas consumption; the creation of a state reserve of energy resources; a ban on the export of energy resources, except for electricity, if gas supplies are maintained; the preservation of life and health of people will be a priority.
