Tiraspol, July 4. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The stability of the work of the leading enterprises of the republic, MGRES and MMP, depends on the uninterrupted supply of gas to Pridnestrovie, the Head of Government noted during a press conference. The electric power industry is a balanced and interconnected system, Alexander Rozenberg emphasized.
“The blackouts that we experienced showed us this. We went through this very easily. It was literally a matter of hours actually, but in fact, the imbalance of this system can lead to irreversible consequences. In order for the population not to suffer from such failures, the MGRES must operate stably,” Alexander Rozenberg said.
Recall that in the autumn of last year, Chisinau reduced the supply of Russian gas to Pridnestrovie. This led to a reduction in electricity generation at the MGRES in Dnestrovsk and to the suspension of its export to Moldova. Electricity purchases in the EU turned into a galloping increase in tariffs and two blackouts for Chisinau. As a result, the Moldovan authorities again began to supply gas to Pridnestrovie.
