Bendery, May 4. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Over the past seven days, the Joint Peacekeeping Forces` military observers in the Security Zone had to go twice to the places where ammunition from the Great Patriotic War was found.
As recorded in the report of the Joint Military Command, announced today at a meeting of the JCC, on April 26, a 320-millimeter caliber missile was discovered during work in a quarry near the village of Pugacheni. Similar ammunition was used by the German Wehrmacht during World War II. Recall that three such missiles were found and destroyed in the same quarry in January of this year, during the New Year holidays.
Since the sappers who arrived there recognized the state of the dangerous find as unsatisfactory, it was destroyed right there.
On May 2, a resident of the village of Ustye, during field work, discovered an F-1 grenade with a damaged fuse from the times of the Great Patriotic War. The condition of the ammunition did not allow to take it out, so the sappers who arrived there blew it up on the spot.
