Pridnestrovie insists on the admission of pharmaceutical products into the republic

Tiraspol, April 13. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The OSCE Mission office in Tiraspol hosted a meeting of specialists on the import of medicines. It was agreed on the results of the political representatives` meeting held last week. According to the Foreign Ministry press service, the discussion was attended by representatives of companies importing pharmaceutical products, as well as intermediaries in the negotiation process.

The Pridnestrovian side drew the attention of the participants to the impracticability of most of the politically motivated bureaucratic requirements of Moldova for medicines imported into Pridnestrovie, taking into account the specifics of the Pridnestrovian healthcare system and the pharmaceutical market that have developed over the past 30 years.

Previously, the parties discussed possible solutions to ensure access to medical institutions of Pridnestrovie and the retail sale of a significant part of the medicines needed by the population, including vital and socially significant ones. Yet no specific decisions were made.

The Pridnestrovian side insists on the exclusive admission of several medicines that are in customs warehouses, customs points of the Republic of Moldova, or on the road.
