Tiraspol, December 19. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The traditional international class A Golden Glove tournament was held in Serbia for the 64th time. This year, about 100 athletes from 18 countries got in the ring in Loznitsa, including 23 women. One of the oldest tournaments in Europe brought together 12 teams from Europe, some representatives came from Africa, Asia, and America.

Anatoly Akhmadiev`s trainee Daria Kozorez (Kshatriy sports club, Tiraspol sports school for wrestling and boxing) won gold in the weight category over 81 kg. She defeated the ring`s hostess.

Another athlete from Tiraspol Kristina Kiper (up to 60 kg) lost to her opponent from England in the semifinals and became the bronze medalist.

Vladislav Gudz (category up to 71 kg) also took bronze. At the start, he confidently hopped the Serbian boxer, but then lost to the Russian Khalid Yagubzade (the opponent from Tula is 7 years older than the Tiraspol resident and has extensive experience in the Elite).

“The Pridnestrovian girls made their debut in Elite, while it was the second tournament in this age category for 20-year-old Vladislav Gudz. Adult boxing is a different level, different emotions. It is encouraging to see that our athletes coped with their emotions and fought decently,” Maxim Chertykovtsev, coach of the Tiraspol sports school for wrestling and boxing said.
