Vadim Krasnoselsky met with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Andrey Rudenko

The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Andrey Rudenko at the Russian Foreign Ministry within the framework of his working visit to the Russian Federation. Ambassador-at-Large Vitaly Tryapitsyn took part in the communication from the Russian side, and Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev from the Pridnestrovian side.

Substantive discussion took place in the course of the meeting on a wide range of topics, including the dialogue between Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova and the strengthening of Russian-Pridnestrovian cooperation.

Particular emphasis was placed on the negotiation process. The PMR President stated that Moldova continues to exert systemic pressure on Pridnestrovie, applying a wide range of blockade measures. He noted in this context a sharp deterioration in the situation in the field of freedom of movement. Vadim Krasnoselsky outlined a number of humanitarian problems, as well as economic losses, which were entailed by the imposed restrictions. According to him, aspects related to the impossibility of carrying out transportation by cargo-and-passenger transport, which is not covered by the vehicles registration points mechanism, as well as the delivery of patients to medical institutions in Ukraine and Russia by reanimobiles of Pridnestrovie, are especially acute.

Special attention was paid to the issues of banking and financial restrictions that impede the work of PMR enterprises.

The interlocutors exchanged views on the further prospects of the dialogue between the PMR and the RM, including with regard to the resumption of the work of the platform of the “Permanent conference ...” in light of the disruption of the next meeting in the “5 + 2” format. Mutual position was expressed on the inadmissibility of the use of any restrictive measures and the necessity of intensifying the negotiation process at all its levels.

Continuing the working conversation, Vadim Krasnoselsky and Andrey Rudenko focused on the development of cooperation between the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and the Russian Federation in various fields. They discussed issues of consular services for Russian compatriots in Pridnestrovie. They also touched upon the topic of the functioning of the peacekeeping operation on the Dniester, agreeing on the lack of alternatives to the existing peacekeeping mechanism.

At the end of the meeting, the participants expressed mutual interest in continuing regular contacts across the entire spectrum of topical areas of interaction.
