The Elections to the Russian State Duma. Why is it important for Pridnestrovians

Tiraspol, September 13 /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The elections to the Russian State Duma will take place on September 17-19. A serious struggle has already revolved around these elections in the information space. It’s no wonder. The Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic’s opponents, both external and a few of internal ones are trying to disrupt the Pridnestrovians’s arrival with Russian passports to polling stations. Our task is the opposite: the turnout in Pridnestrovie for the Duma elections should be as high as possible!

This immediately raises the question of what is the difference for our any enemies how many Pridnestrovians will vote in a few days? All the same time, our opponents don’t recognize the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. This means that independently many or few Pridnestrovians will come, this won’t change the negative attitude on our enemies’ part. However, there’s a difference. At that moment, propaganda campaign on social networks is being promoted by the Russian as well as Pridnestrovian opponents, which essence is that Pridnestrovians’ allegedly have lost their confidence in Russia and its help, and therefore won’t go to the Russian elections. This’s the first intention’s part. And the second one is the confirmation that the Pridnestrovians have recommitted themselves to Moldova. Moreover, to its right-wing political forces, advocating a pro-Western as well as pro-Romanian course. We should mention that for such a scenario to look convincing it’s necessary to disrupt the Pridnestrovians’ arrival to the polling stations in September.

But there’s also a third part of such scenario. It implies an information attack’s launching on Russia itself. The attack’s essence is simple: since the Pridnestrovians have turned away from Moscow, therefore Russia has nothing else to do on the Dniester river. According to such, even if perverse logic, it necessary to withdraw from the PMR the remain 14th Army’s part, represented by the Operational Group of Russian Forces (OGRV), withdraw peacekeepers for replacing them with some doubtful civilian observer mission, disarm Pridnestrovie by exporting weapons and ammunition from warehouses in the Kolbasna village. Everything is designed to eventually force the PMR to factual surrendering and returning under Chisinau control without any efforts.

The scheme is simple, however it can also be destroyed very easily, what, by the way, was done regularly. As in previous Russian elections in Pridnestrovie every Russian passport’s holder should come and vote. Pridnestrovians don’t need a Russian government that would return the Russian Federation under the West external control, as it was in the 1990s, but a patriotic, sovereign one that can defend Russian national interests and support its allies. One of these allies is the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. It’s necessary for us to strengthen the factually military-political alliance with Moscow, preserve Russian troops on the Dniester river for an indefinite period, actively cooperate in the economic as well as in other areas. It’s not directed against any third countries. It’s just the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic’s national security issue. This should be taken into account during voting. We should support those, who are supporting us.

It should be reminded, that September 17 will mark the 15th anniversary of the day when in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic a nationwide referendum was held, at which Pridnestrovians spoke out in favor of independence and union with Russia. The coincidence is symbolic, but not accidental, because it’s an indicator of real and direct democracy that has existed in Pridnestrovie since our state creation. It’s curious that all the Moldovan leaders, whatever they may be, were so afraid to learn the people’s opinion about their country development’s key issues that not a single referendum has taken place in Moldova since 1990-1991, including the foreign policy orientation’s issue and the choice of European or Eurasian integration model. This’s an important point to the comparison of two Moldovan and Pridnestrovan political systems’ democracy degree.

That’s why, on September 17-19, in the year of 2021, every Pridnestrovian citizen need to follow the old, but true slogan: All come to vote.
