Motor cars with Pridnestrovian license plates to transit through Ukraine until October 1

This concerns car owners returning to Pridnestrovie

Tiraspol, September 06 /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Motor transport with Pridnestrovian license plates will be able to transit through the Ukraine territory until October 1 of the year. This applies to Pridnestrovian car owners wishing to return home, in the first instance from Russia or Belarus.

According to the PMR Foreign Affairs Ministry Telegram channel, the relevant information was obtained from diplomatic sources.

The Pridnestrovian Foreign Ministry is continuing rendering assistance to everybody who wishing to return to Pridnestrovie in cars with Pridnestrovian license plates.

According the Foreign Ministry Telegram channel information, “In case of any difficulties, everybody can contact our e-mail office@mid.gospmr.org and as far as possible indicate their personal contact information for advice or assistance.

We remind you that from September 1 of this year, Ukraine has imposed a ban on Pridnestrovian vehicles movement on its territory without neutral license plates.

At the same time, since September 2018, when the vehicle registration points (VRP) began their work, less than five thousand of Tiraspol as well as Rybnitsa cars managed to re-register for neutral license plates in the PMR, that is, less than five per cent of all private automobile owned by republic residents.

The PMR Foreign Ministry has already sent diplomatic notes on the current situation to every participant in the 5+2 negotiation format. In the nearest future, the OSCE management’s representatives are planning to visit Tiraspol.

Problems associated with the Pridnestrovian vehicles movement as well as its possible solutions have been described in detail by the Novosti Pridnestrovya news agency in mid-August.
