The Krasnoselsky family – one of the first visitors to the exhibition of the archaeological heritage of Pridnestrovie

Such object as exhibition appeared in the project of the capital's Catherine Park at one time on the initiative of Vadim Krasnoselsky. On his insistent recommendation it houses a unique exhibition of exhibits illustrating the ancient history of the Pridnestrovian land and demonstrating the rich archaeological heritage of the district.

Employees of the Research Laboratory "Archeology" of the Pridnestrovian State University have been collecting artifacts for more than three decades, but few people knew about it. The most valuable things were kept in the university storerooms.

Vadim Krasnoselsky considers such an attitude to history unacceptable, which he has repeatedly spoken about at various meetings and workshops. Historical exhibits and archaeological finds in his opinion should be in plain sight. Its modern purpose is to educate. The archaeological sector will be vividly represented in the future Pridnestrovian State Museum, on the project of which specialists are already working.

The “Archaeological heritage of Pridnestrovie. Scythian culture” exposition is the first step. Hundreds of antique items are presented, and this is just a small fraction of the artifacts at the disposal of Pridnestrovian archaeologists. Everyone can get acquainted with it now.

Today the official opening ceremony of the exhibition and led by the Head of the "Archeology" university research laboratory Vitaly Sinika the first excursion took place. He expressed gratitude to everyone who was involved in the implementation of this project. Vadim Krasnoselsky with his wife and daughter are among the first visitors to the exhibition. The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of PSU and the museum community. The debut tour was listened to by the heads of the Supreme Council, a number of ministries and departments, the Tiraspol administration and the capital city council, as well as Russian and Belarusian guests.

The President noted at the end of the excursion part of the event that the opening of the archaeological exhibition is a long-awaited event for everyone who has been extracting artifacts that have been hidden until today for decades. Vadim Krasnoselsky considers that the significance of today's event, stressing that work in this direction continues. The PMR President expressed confidence that the exhibition would be of interest to Pridnestrovians of different generations, noting that visitors, regardless of age, will be united by the fact that for the first time they will all come into close contact with the ancient history of the region.

The President drew attention to the need to prepare professional tour guides who will provide both Russian-speaking accompaniment and excursions for foreign guests. Open days will be organized in the exhibition hall on behalf of Vadim Krasnoselsky, on August 31, September 1 and 2.
