Vitaly Ignatiev discussed with Claus Neukirch problems with admission of vaccinated Pridnestrovians to Ukraine

The heads of the PMR MFA as well as the OSCE Mission to RM agreed to hold further consultations with their interlocutors in Moldova and Ukraine to resolve the situation expeditiously

Tiraspol, June 25 /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The meeting of the PMR Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev with the head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Claus Neukirch took place through videoconference today, the press service of the PMR Foreign Affairs Ministry reports.

Diplomats discussed a number of problematic issues that impeding Pridnestrovian citizens’ movement freedom. Particularly, they considered the problem with the allowance to the Ukraine territory citizens with the COVID-19 vaccination certificates, issued in Pridnestrovian medical institutions. Vitaly Ignatiev together with Claus Neukirch agreed to hold further consultations with their interlocutors in Moldova as well as Ukraine in order to eliminate the problem encountered as soon as possible.

The PMR Foreign Affairs Minister drew his attention to the recent provocations of one of the RM’s political parties at border-crossing points with Pridnestrovie. Vitaly Ignatiev appealed the OSCE Mission to assist in preventing such negative manifestations that impeding peoples’ movement

In elaboration of the recent mediators as well as observers’ delegation visit, which was held earlier this month to Pridnestrovie, Vitaly Ignatiev and Claus Neukirch exchanged views on prospects for further work in the negotiation process, especially all aspects related to organization of “the Permanent Conference ...” meeting.

The Pridnestrovian side emphasized its readiness to hold the next meeting in the 5 + 2 format as soon as possible without any preconditions, as provided by the negotiation process existing documents.
