Tiraspol, June 3. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky is at a meeting with an international delegation of the 3 + 2 format. The working meeting is organized in the Official Reception House of the PMR President Administration.
During the meeting with the international delegation, Vadim Krasnoselsky commented on the statement of the American Ambassador Derek Hogan. Two weeks ago, the US diplomat announced that Tiraspol would have to come under Chisinau administrative control on July 11 that year.
“What is administrative control? These are military control, law enforcement control, judicial control and financial control. Mr. Hogan did not say anything about how it would be implemented. By strangling Pridnestrovie? Escalating the conflict? Maybe a war? What did the Ambassador of the United States of America mean when he made such statements? It is unclear," the PMR President emphasized.
On May 18, Derek Hogan spoke to the students of the Faculty of International Relations of the State University of Moldova. And after his speech he answered questions, among which there were traditionally raised the questions about Pridnestrovie.
According to Derek Hogan, Pridnestrovie should be under the administrative control of the Moldovan Government. Moreover, the American Ambassador assures that the settlement of the Pridnestrovian conflict is of great importance for the United States.
“We support the full reintegration of Pridnestrovie into the Republic of Moldova. One of the factors in the settlement of the conflict concerns the consolidation of positions in the Republic of Moldova, since there are many approaches to the situation on the right bank of the Dniester, but it is necessary to formulate a single strategy,” Derek Hogan said.
