Tiraspol, May 20. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Pridnestrovian delegation to the Joint Control Commission issued a statement, in which it reported on the incident in the Security Zone. On the bridge over the Dniester near Gura-Bykului and Bychok villages, unknown persons fired upon the car of the Pridnestrovian Border Guard officer.
A black Mercedes vehicle arrived from the Republic of Moldova on May 2, at about 5 pm. Three men got out of it, while one of them had a rifle equipped with a telescopic sight with him. This “civilian” fired three shots in the direction of the car of the Pridnestrovian Border Guard officer, who was at some distance off the roadway outside the bridge. Also, an armed man fired a shot upon a traffic control sign near the stairway, trying to intimidate the Border Guard officer who started climbing the stairway in order to get closer to the “shooter”. Then the armed group of persons quickly got into their vehicle and left in the direction of the Republic of Moldova, the Pridnestrovian delegation to the JCC said in a statement.
