Tiraspol, November 23 / Novosti Pridnestrovya/ During a meeting with the PMR President, the Deputy Prime Minister, the PMR Economic Development Minister Sergey Obolonik reported that the high-voltage line to Vulcanesti stopped working in the afternoon. A similar situation was happened on November 15th.
“At that moment, there were strong fluctuations in the Ukrainian energy system. A frequency drop has occurred without restoration. It was managed to restore a drop the previous week. Unfortunately, this hasn’t happened yet” Sergey Obolonik said.
As a result, automation was turned off at all consuming and generating stations. Thus, Dubossary HPP as well as Moldavian HES were switched off. Pridnestrovie, Moldova, and Ukraine were de-energized.
At the meeting time, the power supply which comes from Romania was restored. Soon, the Moldavian HES 10th power unit will be launched. Concurrently, the Dubossary HPP is being switched on. Electricity is supplied to Tiraspol. At the moment, there is no electricity in Grigoriopol, Dubossary, Rybnitsa, and Kamenka.
According to Sergey Obolonik, the energy system is unstable. Its quality will be restored only after the start of the Moldavian HES functioning. In northern Pridnestrovie, the electricity volume will be sufficient for people as well as social institutions.
According to experts’ forecasts, the situation will be stabilized by 8 p.m. Pridnestrovie will start generating electricity again.
