Vadim Krasnoselsky received the Russian delegation headed by Vitaly Tryapitsyn

Russian delegation is on official mission to Pridnestrovie. It is headed by the Ambassador-at-Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Vitaly Tryapitsyn, who represents Russia in the Pridnestrovian-Moldovan negotiation process. The Russian diplomat is visiting the republic for the first time in this capacity, but in general his visits to Pridnestrovie as well as participation in the negotiations are of a systemic nature. The delegation includes the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Moldova Oleg Vasnetsov, the Co-Chairman of the JCC from the Russian Federation Andrei Gorobtsov and Vitaly Tryapitsyn's assistant Arif Gadzhiev. The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky met with the Russians. The meeting took place at the presidential executive office. The PMR Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev took part in the meeting.

Vadim Krasnoselsky, welcoming the guests, expressed gratitude for the constant attention to what is happening in Pridnestrovie and abroad, emphasizing that he expects an open and productive dialogue. Vitaly Tryapitsyn in turn confirmed that Russia is determined to strictly fulfill its obligations as before. The Ambassador noted that he is well acquainted with all aspects of the negotiation process, recalling that he personally participated in the "Permanent Conference..." meeting format in Bratislava and in the Bavarian Conference. The Russian diplomat said the purpose of today's visit is to synchronize watches, analyze the issues that have accumulated during the idle time in the negotiations, assess their relevance, outline ways of solving existing problems. At the same time, Vitaly Tryapitsyn emphasized that the agenda of the meeting is much broader than the negotiation sector: Russia and Pridnestrovie are linked by mutual relations in various areas that require constant monitoring and development, it was noted during the meeting.

The interlocutors discussed the prerequisites for the suspension of the negotiation process. At the same time, Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that the dialogue has not reached a dead end, but is in the state of stagnation. They said that the slowdown began in mid-2019 - from the moment of the creation of the coalition in Moldova and the change of negotiators. As for the coronavirus pandemic, it undoubtedly aggravated the state of affairs, but in the opinion of the PMR President it is not the root cause of the freezing of the dialogue. The PMR President outlined the Pridnestrovian vision of the situation, emphasizing that the statement of facts he proposed not criticism, but an attempt to understand the true state of affairs and find a way out of the current situation.

The meeting participants exchanged views, discussed a set of practical proposals and outlined ways for further interaction.
