Negotiations between Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova are experiencing stagnation

This was announced by the President of the PMR Vadim Krasnoselsky during an interview with the Russia-24 TV channel

Tiraspol, September 3. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The President of the PMR Vadim Krasnoselsky described the current period of the negotiation process of Pridnestrovie with the Republic of Moldova as a period of stagnation. The Head of State spoke about this during an interview with the Russia-24 TV channel.

“We have already experienced a similar period. These are 2017 and 2018, when several agreements were signed on the part of Pridnestrovie and Moldova. Moreover, they were very progressive ones, aimed at improving the lives of people on the right and left banks of the Dniester. A lot of norms signed have been fulfilled by Pridnestrovie. And they have already become a part of the life of the Pridnestrovian state,” Vadim Krasnoselsky said.

Speaking about the subject of the discussed issues, the President of the PMR emphasized that it had not changed since 2014. Every year new, more problematic topics are added that need to be addressed.

“The reason for this is objective and subjective circumstances: electoral cycles, the struggle for power, party vicissitudes. Old issues are being barely resolved,” the PMR President noted.

During the period from 2019 to 2020, the Head of the PMR has repeatedly met with the President of the Republic of Moldova Igor Dodon. Vadim Krasnoselsky considered the meeting that took place at the end of July to be the most productive. It was also attended by heads of topical areas and political representatives, which made it possible to delve deeper into the technical aspects of solving those issues which people's lives depend on.

The PMR President noted that Pridnestrovie was ready to resolve issues.
