Tiraspol, August 15./Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The day before it had finished the Russian Canoe Championship in Moscow. Kirill Shamshurin from Tiraspol became a two-time champion. He was the best in a single canoe and a double canoe in paring with Ilya Pervukhin at 1000 m Olympic distance. A pupil of the Tiraspol rowing school Vladislav Chebotar and Viktor Melantiev were the second. Chebotar still has silver in the race for 5 km, Radio 1 reports.
Olympic champions Alexander Dyachenko and Yuri Postrigay confidently won 200 m sprint distance in a double kayak, overtaking other rivals for almost a second.
