Tiraspol, January 31. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. In Pridnestrovie, there have been introduced preventive measures aimed at minimizing the environments that facilitated to the spread of the disease caused by coronavirus infection. The corresponding Decree was signed by the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky.
From today, the entry into the territory of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic is temporarily restricted for foreign citizens arriving from the People's Republic of China (PRC), countries or regions with confirmed cases of coronavirus infection or people who have visited them within the past 14 days. These citizens are subject to compulsory medical examination in the manner determined by the PMR Ministry of Health.
The Ministry of State Security, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the State Customs Committee have been instructed to ensure sanitary, anti-epidemic and disinfection regimes, including through the provision of personal protective equipment to employees entering the service at checkpoints across the PMR state border.
In accordance with the presidential Decree, the Ministry of Health will keep a record of countries and (or) regions with confirmed cases of coronavirus infection. This information will be promptly sent to the Ministry of State Security, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State Customs Committee. Along with these departments, the Ministry of Health was instructed to formulate a course for taking urgent measures in identifying persons suspected to be infected with coronavirus.
The Ministry of Health will have to assess the medical institutions readiness for anti-epidemic measures in case of detection of those infected with coronavirus, as well as suspicions of it.
The state authorities and Government of the republic are instructed to provide the necessary assistance to the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of State Security and the State Customs Committee in implementing measures related to the implementation of the present Decree.
The PMR Prime Minister, who is entrusted with the duty of monitoring the Decree implementation, will have to daily inform the head of state about the current situation.
To date, the number of patients with coronavirus reached close to 10 thousand people in the world. There were also recorded about 15 thousand more cases with suspected illness. 213 people have been the victims of the disease.
