Six orphans got new apartments in Bendery

Money for the purchase of housing was allocated to the city under the State Target Program

Bendery, December 6. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. In Bendery, six orphans and children without parental care received apartments under the State Target Program, the press service of the city state administration reports.

“Own apartment is some kind of start, which in the future life will serve you as the foundation of well-being. Having your own housing, you will be able to build family relations, give birth to children and develop in our beautiful Pridnestrovian region,” Deputy Head of the State Administration for Social Affairs, Svetlana Poznanskaya addressed the newcomers.

All young people who received the keys to their apartments were brought up in orphanages or by guardian relatives, graduated from professional educational institutions. Children admit that they are ready to become volunteers and to help young pupils of orphanages if a youth center will appear in the city.

In total of 13 apartments for orphans were purchased in Bendery this year. The city acquired housing from the secondary housing stock. All apartments undergo price examination in the Ministry of Economic Development, and the requirements to them are determined by the Housing Code of the PMR.

It should be reminded that the State Target Program on Housing for Orphans and Children without Parental Care has been designed for 2018-2027. Last week, President Vadim Krasnoselskiy signed a law amending the State Target Program. Now for young people, it will be able to purchase not only apartments but also residential houses in rural areas at their request.

This year, 8 million rubles were allocated from the budget to provide housing for orphans. It is planned that by the end of the year 60 people from this socially vulnerable category of citizens will get their homes.
