Vadim Krasnoselsky discussed the progress of the negotiation process with the Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Claus Neukirch

The Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Claus Neukirch pays special attention to the course of the negotiation process between Pridnestrovie and Moldova. His working visits to the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and meetings with the republic’s leadership and representatives of the foreign affairs agency are systemic in nature. Today's discussion took place at the Executive Office of the PMR President. Welcoming the diplomat, Vadim Krasnoselsky noted the role of the OSCE as a mediator in the Pridnestrovian-Moldavian dialogue.

In the course of the meeting, on the initiative of the PMR President, attention was paid to problems in the dialogue between Pridnestrovie and Moldova that remain relevant despite the agreement reached by the parties. The point at issue is about such spheres as telecommunications, banking relations, land disputes and the use of driver's licenses of the PMR. Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that there was no practical implementation of the consensus. The PMR President placed the responsibility for what is happening on the Moldovan side. Vadim Krasnoselsky considers that before proceeding to discuss new problems, it is necessary to close the existing gaps in the implementation of the agreements reached. The PMR President is sure that without practical filling and implementation of jointly adopted decisions, negotiations as such lose their meaning. Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that he was sympathetic to the political processes taking place in Moldova (the third composition of the government and, therefore, the negotiators changed over the year), but, according to him, this should not negatively affect the course of negotiations and the work of the 5 + 2 format. In the context of political instability in the neighboring state, the importance of the “Permanent Conference ...” format is growing, and Moldova’s attempts to hinder its work or even destroy it are unacceptable, the PMR President emphasized in an interview with the Head of the OSCE Mission. Vadim Krasnoselsky considers that the revitalization of the work is necessary both through expert (working) groups and at the level of political representatives.

Claus Neukirk expressed solidarity with Vadim Krasnoselsky on this issue. Speaking about the participation of the OSCE in the negotiation process, he emphasized that the possibility of direct contact with the participating parties is extremely important for the effective implementation of mediation functionality.

The interlocutors discussed the results of the informal conference in Bavaria, exchanged views on the entire spectrum of issues of interest, outlined the directions for further cooperation, agreed to continue the dialogue in the working order.
