Tiraspol, November 5./Novosti Pridnestrovya/. At the Bavarian informal conference on confidence-building measures between the PMR and the RM in the thematic session on freedom of movement, experts have discussed driving licences used by Pridnestrovian citizens to participate in the international road traffic, the MFA of the PMR press service reported.
Representatives of Pridnestrovie proposed models of solutions that would allow ensuring participation in the international communication of all persons having access to the mechanism of vehicle registration points without discrimination taking into account the previous commitments and opinions of mediators.
However, at this stage, none of the constructive proposals of Pridnestrovie was accepted by the Moldovan side. In this regard representative of Pridnestrovie called on international partners and mediators to engage in the work on finding a stable compromise, as well as to study the possibility of organizing the capacity to issue driving licenses to citizens living in Pridnestrovie, it is reported.
Special attention was paid to the interests of Pridnestrovian companies providing international commercial transport services. Pridnestrovie has represented the draft Protocol Solution, the signing and implementation of which would allow ensuring registration in the vehicle registration points of buses and trucks owned by transport agents of the PMR and used for international commercial transport.
Various options for companies to obtain appropriate permits were also formulated. The Moldovan side did not show readiness to reach concrete agreements, so it was decided to continue discussions at the level of special expert (working) groups on transport and road economy development with the involvement of specialists.
