Tiraspol, October 22. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources of the PMR Efimy Koval took part in the VIII Slavic International Economic Forum, which was held on October 18 in Bryansk. The event brought together more than 1800 delegates from Belarus, Pridnestrovie, the Republika Srpska, Spain, South Korea, Taiwan (PRC) and other countries, according to the website of the PMR Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
The main theme of the SIEF-2019 is “Saving and Enhancing Human Potential”. The forum discussed the creation of new jobs through the development of priority sectors of the economy, the preservation of rural areas, and the improvement of the living environment.
The forum is designed to promote cooperation between countries and regions, to develop existing economic and social ties. Representatives of government agencies, business, scientific and educational organizations of Russia, Belarus, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Serbia, other countries and regions take an active part in this project every year.
The Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources of the PMR Efimy Koval acted as a moderator in a plenary discussion on the theme “Saving and Enhancing Human Potential”, in its part, concerning the development of agriculture.
The head of the Pridnestrovian department shared his experience in solving the problems of villages in the territory of Pridnestrovie.
Communicating with reporters in the framework of the VIII Slavic International Economic Forum, Efimy Koval praised the work to support the agricultural business in the Bryansk region and the growth of production. He told that the Pridnestrovian colleagues were counting on fruitful cooperation with the Bryansk region.
The head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources of the PMR spoke about the work which was done to ensure food security in the republic, and how the harvesting campaign was being conducted. He also invited the leaders of the Bryansk region to visit the hospitable Pridnestrovian region.
