Oleg Belyakov, the JCC co-chairperson from Pridnestrovie, reminded that the situation in the area of Pogrebya village, Dubossary District, has worsened on August 24, 26 and 27, when clashes between local residents and representatives of the Moldovan Company took place. Currently, the situation is under the control of peacekeepers and law enforcement agencies.
“We hope very much that the business entities, the authorities that are responsible for what is happening there, will find a solution to this issue and will not allow complications of the situation in the Security Zone. In our opinion, everything that happens is a planned action. And these ill-conceived actions can lead to serious consequences,” Oleg Belyakov said.
He emphasized that the Pridnestrovian side expected that that incident would find its solution within the framework of the Joint Control Commission.
“There were many such situations during the work of the JCC, and for all the Commission found a balanced solution. And this helped to stabilize the situation,” the co-chair emphasized.
