The PMR President and Foreign Minister discussed upcoming Meeting in the 5 + 2 format in Bratislava

The PMR Minister of Foreign Affairs in the course of the meeting at the Presidential Executive Office informed Vadim Krasnoselsky about the preparations for the meeting in the 5+2 format on October 9-10 in Bratislava. According to Vitaly Ignatiev, Pridnestrovian diplomats are working with colleagues from the Russian Foreign Ministry. A number of consultations were held with mediators and observers of the negotiation process. The parameters of the upcoming meeting and the agenda proposed by the Pridnestrovian side were discussed with the Head of the OSCE Mission.

The PMR Foreign Minister, outlining issues new for the negotiation agenda, highlighted the topic of closure by Moldovan banks of the accounts of some Pridnestrovian enterprises, classifying it as humanitarian. Vitaly Ignatiev recalled that independent Austrian expert Ilse Schuster, invited by the OSCE, joined in resolving the issue.

Another hot topic is the import of pharmaceutical preparations into Pridnestrovie.

Among the topics planned for discussion in Bratislava is free movement, in particular, the inadmissibility of discriminatory actions against Pridnestrovians located on the territory of Moldova. In addition, the question will be raised regarding quarrying operations by a Moldovan legal entity on the land of the Pridnestrovian cooperative located in Dubossary district. It will also be proposed to sign a protocol decision on the return of children left without parental care. The exclusively social and humanitarian issue has long required the resolution and removal by the Moldovan side of organizational and administrative barriers.

Wishing a good trip to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the President emphasized the need to focus the attention of conference participants on the timing of the implementation of agreements. Vadim Krasnoselsky noted that the meeting agenda from meeting to meeting retains a number of issues, some of which are classified as resolved, but in practice the relevant agreements were not implemented by the Moldovan side. At the same time, Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that the Pridnestrovian side fulfills all obligations in a timely manner and in full.

Speaking about current issues included in the agenda of the upcoming meeting, Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that they represent the social and humanitarian sector and affect the economy, education, the movement of citizens and the movement of goods. Regarding the banking issue, on behalf of the PMR President, Vitaly Ignatiev will voice the Pridnestrovian initiative to conduct an independent audit by the international experts in the banking sector in order to remove and prevent further unfounded accusations against Pridnestrovian entrepreneurs of money laundering and terrorist financing.
