KIRILL FEDORENKO FROM TIRASPOL WON MEDALS OF RUSSIAN FEDERATION ROWING YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIP

He participated at five distances and succeeded in three of them

Tiraspol, August 19. / Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Two pupils of the Tiraspol Rowing and Shooting Sports School Kirill Fedorenko and Ivan Smoly took part in youth U-24 kayaks and canoe rowing championship of Russia. Competitions took place from August 13 to August 19 in Kazan, is reported on the website of the State Service for Sport.

The candidate for the junior Russian national team Kirill Fedorenko participated at five distances and succeed in three of them. He won a silver medal in 4х200 m relays of single boats, two more bronze medals in the competitions of loner boats on 500 m and kayaks four on 200 m.

Ivan Smoly started at six distances. The best results he showed in the kayak pair at 500 and 1000 m distances – he was the sixth.

The State Service for Sport noted that one of the strongest canoeists of Russia, the Honoured Master of Sports Vladislav Chebotar did not participate in these competitions. The current season was really intense for him. A month earlier in the Czech Republic our rowers became the winners of youth U-23 European championship.
