Tiraspol, June, 10. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economic Development Sergey Obolonik told about the participation of the Pridnestrovian delegation in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The text of the interview with the Deputy Prime Minister was published on the official website of the PMR Government.

The head of the Ministry of Economic Development talked with the leaders of Moscow, Smolensk region, Crimea and Dagestan.

Cooperation with the Moscow region has been established long ago and will continue in the future. Obolonik said that there had been already such an agreement. In addition, the Deputy Prime Minister invited the Governor of the Moscow Region to visit the Pridnestrovian International Economic Forum in autumn.

The head of Crimea invited Pridnestrovians to visit the peninsula on a working visit.

“We have a lot of contact points,” the Government’s press service quotes the Vice-Premier.

In addition, meetings were scheduled with the heads of Russian banks.

“They are associated with guarantees in the implementation of investment activities by foreign companies. They will also directly contribute to the support of our leasing operations, this may concern municipal engineering and transport. This is what we encounter in the practical implementation of our projects, and there is an understanding and desire on the part of the heads of Russian banks to work with us,” Sergey Obolonik explained.

Another important event on the forum for Pridnestrovie is the signing of an agreement on the creation of a Russian Trade Project trading company.

“This is a very big and important step in the development and strengthening of commercial relations with the Russian Federation, because the Council will support and provide systematic promotion of the products of Pridnestrovie’s enterprises to the Russian market,” the head of the Ministry of Economic Development of the PMR emphasized.

An important subject that was brought up at SPIEF is digitalization. As Sergey Obolonik noted, participants in the digital market were invited to Pridnestrovie. Thus, in St. Petersburg, it was possible to agree with one of the largest companies in the field of robotics, which cooperates with the Skolkovo Foundation.

“The experience of the Russians in this regard is very wide, and we are glad that we had managed to establish ties with that company. We established contacts with its founders, invited them to our investment economic forum,” the Deputy Prime Minister said.

Obolonik said that that company could attract young Pridnestrovian IT specialists to international projects.

St. Petersburg International Economic Forum was being held from 6 to 8 June. More than 19 thousand people from 145 countries of the world participated in the forum.
