Tiraspol, May, 28. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. As the news agency Novosti Pridnestrovya reported earlier, the President Vadim Krasnoselski held an informal meeting with employees of the foreign affairs agency.
Among the questions posed by Pridnestrovian diplomats, there was also question about possible lawsuits against Moldova for compensation claims from aggression against the people of Pridnestrovie.
Vadim Krasnoselski said that there would be such claims, but first, in his opinion, it was necessary to create an information field regarding the events of 27 years ago in order to “give all our colleagues the opportunity to remember [approx. - to the participants of the negotiation process on the Moldovan-Pridnestrovian settlement] those events.” At the same time, Vadim Krasnoselski reminded of war crimes and crimes against humanity, to which the statute of limitations does not apply.
“Those who were sent to slaughter must be separated from the Ilascu group, from those who shot the civilians in Dubossary, or from those policemen who shot unarmed people on April 1, 1992 in Bendery,” the PMR President said, noting that it was necessary to give those actions a legal assessment.
Vadim Krasnoselski outlined the activities of the Bujor terrorist group.
“Those who shot Nikolay Ostapenko, were awarded state awards of Moldova. They were elected to the parliaments of Moldova and Romania in absentia. There was an assessment of the "feat" of terrorist groups. Here we do not understand each other. We have different heroes. For them are people who committed crimes. For us are victims of this crimes,” Vadim Krasnoselski said.
He also reminded that during meetings with his Moldovan counterpart, Igor Dodon, he asked Moldovan authorities for a political and legal assessment of the actions in 1992 as one of the steps to normalize Moldovan-Pridnestrovian relations. The head of State said that there was still no answer.
