Bendery, May, 11. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The special representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Franco Frattini, said that the delegation of representatives of mediators and observers in the negotiation process is currently preparing a visit to Pridnestrovie and Moldova (note: format “3 + 2” - RF, OSCE, Ukraine - mediators, US and EU - observers), the purpose of which will be the preparation for the meeting in the “5 + 2” format.
Regarding the approximate date of its holding, Mr. Frattini told reporters in an interview: “Next week I will be in Vienna, where I will meet with Mr. Laychak (approx. Miroslav Laychak - OSCE Chairman-in-Office) and discuss this issue with him. I think that the visit of “3 + 2” representatives can take place in June. Of course, much will depend on whether a government is formed in Moldova. Also I will discuss with Laychak holding a meeting in the “5 + 2” format in July or September.”
During the communication with the press, the President of the PMR said that if the negotiation process was stumbling into a place, as was happening today, it would very difficult to talk about any progress and new agreements.
“We are supporters of the continuation of the negotiation process - the activities of expert (working) groups, political representatives, the work of the “3 + 2” and “5 + 2” formats,” Vadim Krasnoselski stressed.
