Tiraspol, April, 4. / Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Within realization of the actions dated for a Year of Ecology and in connection with the approach of the fire-dangerous period the information campaign «Let's Preserve the Forest» for prevention of arsons in the territory of the Public forest foundation and on the agricultural land started.
Arsons of dry grass on lands of agricultural appointment and dry grass by citizens are the main reasons for wildfires during the spring period. A main objective of the nature protection project is the promotion of careful attitude to forest riches, the formation of steady public opinion about the inadmissibility of burning out of dry grass, practical uselessness of harming the environment, need of observance of fire safety regulations for the forest and in territories, adjacent to the forest.
The Ministry for Agriculture and Natural Resources suggests public administrations and educational institutions take an active part in holding information campaign «Let's Preserve the Forest».
«Within the information campaign in educational institutions it is possible to conduct thematic lessons, interactive occupations, flashmobs, competitions of drawings, excursions which are directed to the promotion of nature protection knowledge, increase in ecological culture and formation of an active nature protection position at school students», - it is noted on the website of the department.
At the same time for the strengthening of the protection of forest plantings from the fires by the forestry and landscape enterprise SUE Pridnestrovye-less is carried out fire-prevention promotion, explanatory and educational work among the population on prevention of arson of grass in forests, forest belts and territories adjoining to them.
