Tiraspol, March, 10. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Traditionally, the international art festival Martisor is being held in Pridnestrovie in first 10 days of spring. Numerous concert programs, meetings and exhibitions were organized in all cities and districts. The residents and guests of the republic were delighted with professional and amateur groups` skills.
Pridnestrovian audience welcomed guests from Russia, Austria, Moldova, but Pridnestrovian groups were on the stage more often during these days. These are the state choir, the symphony orchestra, the Liberty quintet, the ensemble of folk music and dance Vatra, the artists of the theater named after. N. S. Aronetskaya and other groups, according to the website of the PMR Government.
According to the established tradition, the Pridnestrovian State Ensemble of Dance and Folk Music Viorica closed the international festival of arts with its performance. It was its artists who presented the Tiraspol residents and guests of the capital with a real extravaganza on the final day of the festival, performing traditional Russian, Moldavian, Ukrainian and Bulgarian compositions on the stage of the Palace of the Republic.
“Let me thank you on behalf of the audience: the team as a whole and each performer individually, of course, and your leader. Thank you for the musical and dance extravaganza that you gave us,” the Vice-Chairman of the Government Alexey Turcan addressed to the participants of Viorica.
He also noted the high skill level of Pridnestrovian artists. The Deputy Prime Minister also thanked the guests of the festival, who came to Pridnestrovian land this year.
Today, together with the artists of Viorica ensemble, the guest of the festival from Moldova Vasily Chebotar, who is known as a performer of Russian and Gypsy romances, appeared on the stage. Native of Dubossary, Anna Odobesku, winner of the Grand Prix at the competition of young performers of the variety song Opening-2007 and second place at the International Music Festival Slavic Bazaar-2016, has also performed for the Pridnestrovian audience.
At the end of the festive show, the head of the State Service for Culture and Historical Heritage, Maria Kyrmyz, presented all the participants with diplomas of the Martisor-2019 art festival.
