Tiraspol, January, 10. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Since the new year, Russia has imposed a ban on the importation of goods, the country of origin of which is Ukraine, or, goods moved through the territory of this country. Mainly, the ban will affect industrial products. Moscow’s counter-sanctions against Kiev may also include Pridnestrovian exporters.
“A number of Pridnestrovian enterprises are actively working in the Russian markets. There are significant volumes of products, deliveries for the year are contracted, therefore Pridnestrovian enterprises may be affected by this measure” - Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev said, commenting on the situation to journalists.
In order to solve the problem as quickly as possible and eliminate the negative consequences of the adoption of this resolution for Pridnestrovie enterprises, the Government, the Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pridnestrovie have intensified work with the relevant authorities of the Russian Federation and are in constant contact with the authorized representatives of the Russian Federation.
“The situation is under control. We have proposed a mechanism for solving this problem. Working consultations have already taken place, let us hope that they will be intensive and will lead to practical results” - Vitaly Ignatiev said.
