THE MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS: OUR EFFORTS WILL BE STILL CONCENTRATED ON THE SOLUTION OF SOCIAL AND HUMANITARIAN PROBLEMS

Vitaly Ignatiev designated priorities in negotiations with Moldova

Tiraspol, January, 10. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Within the negotiation process, Pridnestrovie will continue focusing on the solution of social and humanitarian problems. It was said by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev in a conversation with journalists.

According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the dialogue between Tiraspol and Chisinau continues rather effectively. Last year many meetings at the level of expert (workers) groups, and political representatives were held.

In the new diplomatic year the dynamics dialogue of the parties should not decrease, even in spite of the fact that Moldova has already included into the parliamentary electoral process (elections to the parliament of the RM are planned for February 24), Vitaly Ignatiev emphasized.

«We consider that these costs should not affect negatively the course of the negotiation process, on the implementation of agreements which we have reached. First of all, we expect that work of the 5+2 format will be systematized. We would like it to be rhythmical, and the international partners should also be actively involved in work as it was last year», - Ignatiev paid attention.

As for the international partners, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is going to accept delegations of the countries and the organizations from the next week. Among the first who will visit Pridnestrovie in the new year, there will be a Head of the OSCE mission in the RM Claus Neukirch. The subject of a meeting is obvious – work of the Slovak presidency in OSCE which released the Austrian diplomats from this duty.

«I hope that this visit will stimulate dialogue and we will be able to define plans and parameters of our work for this year. Within the negotiation process we will also continue to contact other international partners», -Vitaly Ignatiev noted.

According to him, special attention in 2019 will be paid to the solution of social, economic and humanitarian problems, «to make the life of people better and to remove any barriers».

«We know what questions are on the agenda, what we need to discuss first of all, and we are oriented on the continuation of the implementation of the existing arrangements. The question of criminal cases, telecommunications, interbank interaction are open. There are problems connected with transit through the territory of Pridnestrovie of freights across the northern side of the railroad, and many other things. We will also concentrate efforts on their decision», - the Minister of Foreign Affairs noted.
