Tiraspol, December, 18. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev met the delegation of the Great Britain Embassy to Moldova led by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Her Majesty of the Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Lucy Joyce.
Vitaly Ignatiev noted traditionally high dynamics of contacts with the British Embassy and thanked for the help with a number of humanitarian issues, the Press Service of the MFA of the PMR reports.
"Separately, I would like to gratitude for the support within the fight against emergency situations and counteraction to the fires. It is very important for us", – the diplomat told.
During the meeting, interlocutors discussed the current situation in the negotiation process between Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova. Vitaly Ignatiev noted that the expiring year is characterized by intensity of contacts of the parties and in general positive dynamics of interaction on the track of the Moldo-Pridnestrovian settlement.
Commenting on the prospects of work within the negotiation process, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR hoped for an active position of the Slovak presidency in OSCE in the first months 2019. Vitaly Ignatiev emphasized the need for definition and adoption of the agreed action plan for the next year which, according to him, could additionally discipline the negotiators and promote maintaining dynamics in the dialogue between Moldova and Pridnestrovie.
Participants of the meeting also paid attention to relevant aspects of realization in Pridnestrovie initiatives of the Great Britain Embassy in the humanitarian sphere.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to support direct contacts on the questions of mutual interest.
