Tiraspol, 3 July. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Ministry of Defence has summed up the results of the promo "Army against Drugs!". Number of cultural, educational, sporting and mass events have taken place in its framework in Armed forces in June.
The similar promo is carried out in the Ministry of Defence for the first time and is confined to the International day of fight against drug abuse and their illicit trafficking, which is celebrated on June 26. The press service of department reminds that the promo has started on June 6.
The Ministry of Defence together with representatives of Military prosecutor's office have organized a number of the information events, lectures and documentaries directed to on-time prevention of the addictions and drug addiction telling about criminal liability for the usage, storage and drug trafficking. Within a month sporting and entertaining events for children have been held in recreation camps and boarding schools. During the conversations with minor children it was told about harm of the usage of narcotic substances.
Army athletes have contributed into involvement of youth to healthy lifestyle also. The sambo tournament on the Cup of the Minister of Defence, the five-a-side football championship of Armed forces and the Sports contest of peacekeeping forces have been held under the motto "Army against Drugs!". Besides, in June anonymous survey of the military personnel undergoing military service has been conducted, regarding the usage, storage and distribution of narcotic substances.
"Carrying out the action "Army against Drugs", we wanted to focus attention of representatives of public authorities, commanders of all degrees and the public on this problem. The Ministry of Defence can't watch passively and from outside on this problem", – the Deputy Minister of Defence lieutenant colonel Alexander Donikov has noted.
Dramatic concert will take place on the main square of Tiraspol on July 6. It will finish the promo. The Ministry of Defence will submit new concert program of honored artists of the republic – soloists of General staff of Armed forces orchestra. At 20:30 on the main square of Tiraspol, the stars of the Pridnestrovian stage will perform famous compositions from the repertoire of DoReDoS, Sunstroke Project, Artik&Asti, Max Barskikh, Burito, Emin, Dan Balan, Alekseev, IOWA, Max Fadeyev for inhabitants and guests of the capital. The concert program includes the best musical compositions, which millions of listeners really like: "Hey mamma", "Konstantine", "On waves", "Smile", "Live" and many others.
