Dubossary, 23 June. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The political representatives of Pridnestrovie and Moldova met in Dubossary. Vitaly Ignatiev and Cristina Lesnic talked with agriculture specialists and land users.
The parties focused on the assessment and further coordination of the process of issuing provisional certificates for land cultivation in Pridnestrovie's Dubossary District under the relevant Protocol Decision of 25 November 2017, the MFA's press service reports.
The interlocutors discussed the current state of affairs in this area and identified a number of priority measures that should be taken to accelerate the process of practical implementation of the agreement.
It should be noted that on June 21 Vitaly Ignatiev and Cristina Lesnic held a meeting in the Chisinau office of the OSCE Mission. The Pridnestrovian minister recalled back then the parties' obligations to solve the issue of politically motivated criminal cases. The minister drew attention to the fact that this problem is of a humanitarian nature and creates tension in a number of other spheres.
"Within the framework of protocol decisions signed in 2016, the subject of criminal cases directly correlates with the problem of free movement. In addition, the land-use agreement also states that the Moldovan side will work on discontinuing the criminal cases," Ignatiev stressed.
Besides, Ignatiev noted that progress in issuing land-use certificates would be analyzed. "There are technical issues related to verification of documents and land parameters. We expect that this meeting will be application-oriented and the land users will be able to explain what problems they are faced with now," Vitaly Ignatyev explained.
